Ghost Sunset Martini

In order to make a Ghost Sunset Martini, you'll need freshly squeezed lemonade, organic vodka, lime juice, and a dash of grenadine.

The concept of this drink is quite similar to a Tequila Sunrise, which also uses grenadine.

Basically, the thicker and heavier grenadine syrup will gradually sink to the bottom, giving the drink a slightly layered look. The gradation between the lighter yellow shade at the top and the darker red on the bottom gives this drink a blood-sunset look, which is quite cool.

I like this drink because of the duality of the tangy and sweet flavor.

I prefer using freshly squeezed lemonade. If you do opt for pre-made lemonade, Santa Cruz Organics is a good option.

If you squeeze the lemonade yourself, use fresh lemons. You can sweeten it using raw honey or stevia.

Remember, though, the grenadine is quite thick and sweet, so don't go overboard with the sweetener.
