Lychee Vodka Recipe - Another Drink to Add to Your Pocket
The Lychee Vodka Martini
There are many variations of the lychee martini, however, I like to keep it simple, and use two
main ingredients - organic vodka and lychee juice.
Instead of buying canned lychee, I would suggest
getting the actual lychee fruit.
Peel off the shell, remove the flesh of the fruit from the seed, and
puree it until the juice is a smooth consistency. You can also add a little bit of lime juice to
retain the freshness of the puree.
If, for whatever reason, you can't find organic lychee, I would suggest buying lychee tea from
vendors such as
Starwest Botanical. Steep the tea for 2-3 hours in boiling water.
Let simmer, and then
bring down to room temperature.Steep 4 bags worth of tea in a 32 oz. glass container, which will
make several lychee martinis.
If you want to sweeten the mixture, add in a teaspoon of styvia or organic raw honey. Don't over do the
sweet factor because it may overwhelm the lychee flavor.
For this lychee vodka recipe, I only used 2 ingredients. But, you can also add in pink lemonade or a dash of cranberry or acai juice for extra flavor.
