Wine Cocktails

You may wonder why I decided to put a section about wines on this site. Well, that's because
you can make delicious tasting cocktails using wine.
You don't believe me?
Well, have you ever heard of, or tried, something called Sangria? Guess what that is?
Yup! It's a type of cocktail made from either red or white wine.
Concocted from a combination of wine, soda, orange juice, and other liqueurs,
this cocktail with Spanish and Portugese origins, is one of the most popular drinks, especially during the summer months.

Wine Cocktails
You can use different combinations of organic orange juice, soda, and lemon juice in addition to your
alcohol to create a great tasting cocktail.
I tend to steer clear of using the higher quality, upscale bottles for these recipes because you probably
want to enjoy those purely by themselves.
That's not to say you can't use good quality wine. After all,
price doesn't necessarily go hand-in-hand
with
quality. I just tend to prefer to enjoy the vintages on their own.
How to Make Wine Cocktails
Sangria comes in many different variations. I've focused on the basic recipe.
The best way to make an amazing tasting Sangria is to use
fresh ingredients.
Start with a good base, which can be any of the following:
Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Rioja reds, Zinfandel, or Shiraz.
Make sure to prepare some freshly cut
organic fruit, such as oranges, lemon, apples, pineapples, peaches...the list goes on and on.
Ingredients
- 1 bottle of organic red wine
- 3 cups of club soda or lime soda
- 1 cup of organic orange juice
- 1 orange cut into wedges
- 1 apple cut into wedges
- 1 tablespoon of stevia
- 1 cup of organic peach schnapps
Directions
- Pour the wine into a glass pitcher
- Add in the styvia, orange juice
- Add the cut fruit
- Stir
- Let chill in the fridge
- Add the club soda right before serving
